Arey Vineyard Chardonnay 2024
“A Chardonnay of notable restraint and considerable depth.”
Planted in 1991, the single-acre Arey Vineyard occupies a north-facing slope of the Santa Cruz Mountains, uniquely caught between the Pacific fourteen miles to the west and the San Francisco Bay five miles to the east. Franciscan Complex soils of schist and basalt give the wine its distinctive mineral character. Foot-trodden and whole-cluster pressed, aged eighteen months in a combination of barrel and stainless steel on the fine lees.
Tasting notes: Aromatics of flint, lemon verbena, and ocean air, with a palate of lemon oil, oyster shell, and tarte tatin. A Chardonnay of notable restraint and considerable depth.

Madson Wines
Cole Thomas founded Madson Wines in the spring of 2018, alongside Ken Swegles and Abbey Chrystal. The wines of Madson are utterly unique – nuanced, subtle, unmistakably Alpine in character, yet influenced by the vineyards’ close proximity to the Pacific Ocean.
