Inspired by Marcel Deiss of Alsace (an iconic winemaker), this is a blend of about 10 Alsatian and German varietals - Auxerrois, Ehrenfelser, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sheurebe, Sylvaner, Viognier, Riesling.
Whole-cluster direct-pressed, fermented and aged in clay amphora that Andrew makes from the clay/iron-oxide-rich soils of their property. It spends about 6-7 months in amphora and then additional time in bottle before release.
